As a storyteller, Ray’s visions were often accompanied by hand-drawn pictures to ignite the imagination of young readers. This is where perhaps the filmmaker part of the writer comes across, especially in creating characters that look a certain way. Jatayu, aka, Lalmohan Ganguly, initially, had a different look, but after casting Santosh Dutta, Ray did take a certain liking to that look. Staying true to these pictures, Srijit puts them as reference points often in this series, looking for validation, perhaps. It makes this Feluda story, perhaps not one of the best by Ray, toned and stretched across episodes that meander on the same path initially take
